came across this small article in a recent issue of Cine Blitz....thought of sharing it....
"WHEN GODDESS REKHA STRIKES..."
They dont make them like rekha (actually i hereby rechristen her RAREKHA) anymore and thats something of a relief, actually.
Its at one of the many recent fashion weeks and Madam Re is there,dressed to the nines in het customary kanjeevaram and shop load of jewellery. A veteran make- up artiste summons up the courage to go up to her and make his admiration plain....
"Mam,i am a huge fan of yours,infact it was after watching you in UMRAO JAAN that i decided to become amakeup artist.You are a huge inspiration.I really,really admire you....RE smiles beatifically ,looks into the space many inches above his head and husks-are you ready for this?...
"Well keep admiring me and getting inspired...."
and with that the rare lady vanishes witha twirl of her swishing pallu...
Is she for real,you ask?I ask right back,was she ever???..."

Thanks again , now for sharing this article from Cineblitz. Is it recent? According to this , she attended some fashion event..which one?? and why no pictures? :( . Recently, I mean like in past 3-4 months I remember seeing pics of loads of celebrities attending such events but didn't see any pic of Rekha...why?? I don't think it is even possible to think that even a single person didn't take her pics. But anyways, glad she attended some other function apart from award shows :). But what is this RAREKHA?? I am not getting this..what he/she is trying to imply with this term? Pls help me understanding this..my mind is going blank right now.
Now back to Nach baliye, latest is that Sajid Khan & Terrence Lewis have been confirmed as 2 judges and third one might be Shilpa Shetty. So there goes my hope to see Rekha on TV show.

Dear Chhaya,
Inder Kumar movies include- Dil, Beta, Raja, Masti, Mann, Dhamaal etc.Yes , his many movies are superhits but not great movies at least as per my taste. At this stage of Rekha's career I want her to work in good ,well made movie with interesting story idea & with prominent role . Sure she will be the main protagonist in this one but plot is not looking very interesting and having Inder Kumar as the director is making things worse for me. Let's see kya hota hai.

Just saw couple of pics of Rekha at Rajya Sabha where she came to vote on FDI. Did u guys notice her glasses? It is reminding me of some cartoon character , not able to recollect the name though. Those were looking too big for her face.:) Since pics were not full size , so not clear to me if she was wearing Sari or salwar suit. If i am not mistaken this is her third appearance in RS. Hmm......

there was only a single pic of rekha from eshas wedding reception....i have never heard of rekha attending any fashion week apart from the one where she was awarded the lakme timeless beauty award many yrs ago.....
i think the writer misqouted the event.RAREKHA means rare +rekha....he summed it up to rechriten her rarekha....
the article was nice...so thought of sharing it....
stills of rekha from rajya sabha were not good....but she was looking good on tv....may b the proximity from which the fotos were taken created a problem....but good to see the media thronging round her....
her specs were horrible....god knows when on earth will she stop wearing those red lip colours and bindis....had those not been there she would have looked far better i blv...
sad to hear that rekha is no more a part of nach baliye but relieved as well to know that she retained her exclusivity by this act....

So finally Rekha made her first public appearance at Screen Awards today. (Well, I am not counting her appearance at Vidya Balan reception as first as I've not seen any proper pics yet except for the fleeting shot inside her car). Anyways, have just seen only 2 pics of her and i am not really digging her look which is again nothing new. But, what i have read that she presented best actress award and also recited a nazm of Gulzar saab as a tribute to Yash Chopra. Hope to see more pictures of Rekha soon.

They dont make them like rekha (actually i hereby rechristen her RAREKHA) anymore and thats something of a relief, actually.
Its at one of the many recent fashion weeks and Madam Re is there,dressed to the nines in het customary kanjeevaram and shop load of jewellery. A veteran make- up artiste summons up the courage to go up to her and make his admiration plain....

Recently, I mean like in past 3-4 months I remember seeing pics of loads of celebrities attending such events but didn't see any pic of Rekha...why?? I don't think it is even possible to think that even a single person didn't take her pics. But anyways, glad she attended some other function apart from award shows :). But what is this RAREKHA?? Now back to Nach baliye, latest is that Sajid Khan & Terrence Lewis have been confirmed as 2 judges and third one might be Shilpa Shetty. So there goes my hope to see Rekha on TV show.
Inder Kumar movies include- Dil, Beta, Raja, Masti, Mann, Dhamaal etc.Yes , his many movies are superhits but not great movies at least as per my taste. At this stage of Rekha's career I want her to work in good ,well made movie with interesting story idea & with prominent role . Sure she will be the main protagonist in this one but plot is not looking very interesting and having Inder Kumar as the director is making things worse for me. Let's see kya hota hai.

Rekha saree style icon visits Manish Malhotra at his flagship store
Rekha, known for her bespoke style, met designer Manish Malhotra at his store here. He says it is always a pleasure to meet her and discuss her movies and costumes.
“Rekhaji at my flagship store in Mumbai this morning. And whenever we meet we discuss all her movies and her costumes, all which I know by heart,” tweeted Malhotra, who is known for styling actresses like Karisma Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor in their movies.
Will we be seeing Rekha in a Manish Malhotra saree soon?

Really am dying to see her...
So finally Rekha made her first public appearance at Screen Awards today. (Well, I am not counting her appearance at Vidya Balan reception as first as I've not seen any proper pics yet except for the fleeting shot inside her car). Anyways, have just seen only 2 pics of her and i am not really digging her look which is again nothing new. But, what i have read that she presented best actress award and also recited a nazm of Gulzar saab as a tribute to Yash Chopra. Hope to see more pictures of Rekha soon.
