Hello fellow Rekha fans, Did you all see Rekha & Vidya pics at special screening of Kahani movie? What came into ur mind when u saw Rekha without makeup.? I must say that i was kinda pleasantly surprised to see her like that. Her skin ,though has some freckles, looks good for a woman nearing 60.It seems she has lost her natural eyelashes over the yrs too. I think she was not prepared for cameras and feeling bit vulnerable as you can see how she was trying to cling on Vidya as if trying to hide behind her:).
There is another awards show on March 15th and i believe organised by Balaji. I hope Rekha attends it. Fingers crossed.

Rekha has made another public appearance today. This time at Mirchi Music awards. She presented Lifetime award to Khayyam sahab. And she is wearing Green sari with gold border. How do i know? I saw couple of pics on twitter..ha ha..those are long shots but hopefully will able to see more HQ & closeup pics soon. I can't share anything on this site else i would have shared them here.
Regarding her co-judging JDJ , i don;t want to have high hopes on this. Such rumors have been coming since last couple of yrs regularly. Earlier , there was some rumor of her doing a serial with Kabir bedi opp her. Nothing happened. Before that also she was approached for judging a show with Hema Malini and nothing happened. In a recent intervw in FF, she though said that small screen is ready for her or something like that. So, Let's wait and watch. Fingers crossed.

guys i am so happy to find that rekhaji whose name was not even nominated by the filmfare magazine has secured for herself the 2nd position in the iconic actress list......it is not at all easy to igonore someone as monumental as rekhaji,someone who has devouted 42precious years of her life to the filmdom,someone who has to her credit almost 180 films, someone who has been loved by the mass and appreciated by the critics and the movie moghuls as well,someone who se transformation from a self proclaimed ugly duckling to a gorgeous dignified seductress is a stuff legends are made off,someone who single handedly strenghtened the position of women in the industry,someone whose contribution to the indian film industry cannot be ignored....
loved to see that the audience inspite of all odds and manipulation has turned a deaf ear to all the hanky panky and has made her their darling once again.....

लोग हमेशा 31 दिसम्बर की रात को नहीं भूल पाते क्यूंकि अगले दिन को सूरज नए साल का नयी उम्मीद लिए उगता है मगर मैं कल की रात 31 मार्च की रात नहीं भूल सकता.... कल रात जो हुआ अपने आप कभी भुलाया भी नहीं जा सकता, खय्याम साहब को रेखा द्वारा सम्मानित करना और फिर रेखा का " यह क्या जगह है दोस्तों " गाना , पूरा नज़ारा अभी भी आँखों के सामने है... एक पल को भी नहीं लगा की वो रेखा गा रही हैं.. वो इतना बेहतरीन गाती हैं , सच मानो मैंने कभी नहीं सोचा था... मगर ... खैर अब मैं क्या कहूँ.... शुक्रिया आप सभी का जिन्होंने यह Platform दिया जहाँ पर मैं अपने दिल के भाव आपसे बाँट सकूँ....

dr rishabh n amit......i have recently heard that in an interview sonam kapoor has termed rekha as the most under rated actress in the industry. she has also said that rekhaji has not got her due.......so good to hear this.although i personally dont like sonam kapoor but it was gud to hear this intelleigent answer.gud to know that atleast one industry insider has agreed that rekha has not got her due and her potential has not been tapped properly....

Yesterday when i heard the news of Rekha's nomination as RS MP..i was so surprised and happy too that she got this achievement..it is indeed another feather in her cap. But bit doubtful about it how good she will be as MP as we have not seen her ever expressing her views on any issues. Not known for her public speaking either. I don't want her to join the list of disastrous political career like AB, Lataji, Govinda, Dharamendra. And now on twitter her nomination is being reduced to cheap Silsila part 2 jokes or some Nirma Ad jokes or people are doubting her credentials to get nomination by president..which is sad..she deserves much better. I am not liking the way some of celebrities commented on Rekha's entry in RS. I was not at all expecting this kind of comment from Waheeda ji that Rekha's glamor will sizzle in RS. Similarly, Aamir Khan said that her entry may boost Male MPs attendance. Why i am not liking such statements that when they were asked about Sachin's Nomination they both said that he is great cricketer, honest person so deserves the honor. But when they talk about Rekha they commented on her glamour and her appeal among male Mps. So do they both think that she didn't deserve this honor. Ok fine Sachin is world famous icon but Rekha too has great body of work, has been a trendsetter..still inspires lot of young actors. Both these comments made me so angry..i guess one of the reason for such comments is her image herself. All thru her career she is known as glamour diva or enigma..never heard her speaking on any public issue. I hope she just changes this notion about her but it looks difficult to me. I wish her all the best in her new endeavor. Hope she does good work in her capabilities as a MP.

My response to Jaspreet : Seat change news is partially true only. Jaya B requested for change of her seat couple of days before Rekha's nomination was announced. So her seat change is nothing to do with Rekha's seat in RS. Well this is what official statement from parliament says. Media just love to make a big deal of most trivial issues.

बेशक यह बात रेखा जी और उनके सभी चाहने वालों के लिए ख़ुशी और गर्व की बात है, की वो सांसद बनने जा रही हैं, पर, अगर वो राजनीति में आती हैं तो उनका यह फैसला ठीक नहीं होगा , ना तो उनके करियर के लिए और ना ही उनकी साफ़- सुथरी छवि के लिए क्यूंकि वो शायद नहीं जानती की राजनीति बहुत अजीब जगह है, जहाँ भ्रष्टाचार , घोटाले, और दुनिया भर की गंदगी है, और हम नहीं चाहते की वो इस गंदगी में जाएँ , यहाँ आने से लाख गुना बेहतर यह होगा की बेशक वो कम फ़िल्में करें , कम नज़र आयें, मगर उनका ख़ास और खूबसूरत चेहरा उस भीड़ का हिस्सा बने यह हमें मंज़ूर नहीं!!!

Its been over a week now since the announcement of name of Rekha as RS MP. And no news that she has not accepted it so i believe that she is going to accept it and moreover i saw her name on Rajya Sabha official site too few days back. I was reading some of the comments here about her joining the politics etc..but hers is not like joining full fledged politics as she is not affiliated to any party. Because what makes politics dirty is party politics. As Raj Babbar put in one of sound bytes he gave last week that Rekha's responsibilities will be very different from what a normal party MP has. Her responsibilities will be more towards her film fraternity or any social issues of her liking. Some people are saying that this move will be bad for her career. But my question is where is her career going nowadays? It is more or less dead..Even her film Aaj phir jeene ki tamnna haii which was finished couple of yrs back is not seeing release. I am feeling sad to write this but this is a fact. I am her one of the biggest fan and will love to see her on screen in new films but it ain't happening. Even her co-judging the Jhalak dikhla ja didn't materialize due to money issues. So , i think maybe if she wants to join as RS MP..let her join. But i just hope that she will not take Lataji route of not attending any sessions of RS. Keeping my fingers crossed and just hope that she will do some good work for her fraternity or general public which will bring her to limelight in a good way and may give life back to her career too.

Regarding her co-judging JDJ , i don;t want to have high hopes on this. Such rumors have been coming since last couple of yrs regularly. Earlier , there was some rumor of her doing a serial with Kabir bedi opp her. Nothing happened. Before that also she was approached for judging a show with Hema Malini and nothing happened. In a recent intervw in FF, she though said that small screen is ready for her or something like that. So, Let's wait and watch. Fingers crossed.

Yesterday when i heard the news of Rekha's nomination as RS MP..i was so surprised and happy too that she got this achievement..it is indeed another feather in her cap. But bit doubtful about it how good she will be as MP as we have not seen her ever expressing her views on any issues. Not known for her public speaking either. I don't want her to join the list of disastrous political career like AB, Lataji, Govinda, Dharamendra. And now on twitter her nomination is being reduced to cheap Silsila part 2 jokes or some Nirma Ad jokes or people are doubting her credentials to get nomination by president..which is sad..she deserves much better.
