I wish she would think a bit and collect her thoughts before she speaks at events. Very often it comes across as someone rambling. For instance check her last speech from the event this pic is from. She is a very intelligent person but her speeches unfortunately do not convey that and clothes wise, I wish she would try out a bit more of variety. She carries off western clothes quite well in spite of her large hipped frame. Would love to see a good designer work with her and present that side of her.

I feel, in this day& age of social netwroking etc, Rekha needs to be bit more open to media.I am not saying to overexpose like AB or SRK but once in a while come on TV show/interview like she did in past with Simi Garewal. Now she can come in Koffee with Karan..i heard that its going to start again soon. Or make a twitter acnt and tweet from time to time like Dilip Kumar does. He doesn't tweet daily. I also feel odd the way she evaded media on FF red carpet..what's the harm if u speak 1-2 lines.I feel since she is not very good impromptu speaker, maybe that;s why she feels bit awkward or shy to speak in front of camera.Or she takes the line 'Woman should be seen not heard' too seriously? I feel its high time she should change her attitude a little bit. Sometimes, i feel that today;s 80% of youth(teenagers or early 20s) are not familiar with her good work.They just know her for real bad movies like Bachke rahna baba or KKHZ or as filmi mom of Hrithik or as a diva who wears kanjivaram saris all the time. I feel so sad sometime for her. She deserves much better. And wardrobe restyling is also needed for her. I think somewhere i read that earlier she was a shopping freak but now she doesnt shop and keeps experimenting with her stock of saris with different blouses etc. It is well and good but to a layman person, it doesn't matter much .to a normal person it is a kanjeevaram sari whether u wear with different blouses or diff jewelry. Or i feel she is very content with her life now and doesn't want to change anything.I really wish her to see on screen in some good films. But way things are going , i see no hope.Till 2003 , everything was fine.she was coming in small but important roles like Lajja, Bhoot, KMG. But i feel her signing the b-grade movies like BkRB and KKHZ did bad to her career. I just pray somebody like Sanjay Bhansali cast her in his film. Fingers crossed. I think i need to stop ..Sorry for my essay :).

Rekha is the brilliant actress of Indian cinema who gave so many milestone films to cine gores. But I found she is not comfortable in Comedy. She was poor in “ Mujhe meri Biwi se Bachao” Bach ke rehne re Baba, Mother-98, and in Kudiyon ka hai Zamana. I am surprised why? As an Versatile actress she should improves her comic timings.

I somewhat agree with Oscar williams post. In her last few comedy films , she is not that good like she used to be in her earlier movies e.g khubsoorat, Jhooti. Now , she tends to go overboard. Partially it is director's fault too. But, in some magazine i read that her personality intimidates directors so maybe that could be the reason that director doesn't pinpoint any faults to her. Earlier she used to be very spontaneous actor now it looks like she has become sort of method actor. For a good comic timing , i think , u need to be more spontaneous.

रेखा बहुत ही सीधी- साधी और भोली भाली हैं, उनमे जो कमी नजर आती है वो है " चालाकी" वो चालाक नहीं हैं, उन्हें newspaper की headline बनानी नहीं आती , वह ख़बरों में रहना नहीं जानती , और लोग किसी न किसी बहाने से ख़बरों में बना रहना चाहते हैं, और वो इन सब चीज़ों को . मीडिया को नज़र अंदाज़ करती हैं , हमेशा दिल से काम लेती हैं तभी तो वो Relationship की खातिर ऐसी भूमिका स्वीकार कर लेती हैं जो उनकी इमेज से कहीं भी मेल नहीं खाती , बस इसी खामी को अगर वो दूर करले तो हो जाये more परफेक्ट .....

i personally feel the only thing that i would like to change in her would be the way she conducts herself at public functions,award ceremonies or premiers.....
rekha is a gem of a woman and she loves and respects people of all ages and mixes with them freely and at times also befriends them..
but this industry is not as good as she thinks or believes....
dont like the way the junior award winning stars dont even acknowledge her presence even after she has taken the plunge of saying nice things about them or shared anecdotes about them...the very same thing happened with ranbir kapoor this year at filmfare, happened with shahrukh many a times, happened with akshay once at star screen awards and it continues....
she must not forget she is THE REKHA,she does not need to be nice to people.it should be their previledge to get an award from her or got to click a snap with her...
dont like the way she would run upto jaya bachhan or aisharya rai to show her love for them,becausr either or they are treated as publicity gimmick or termed as rekhas unsuccessful attempts to strike a chord with amitabh bachhchan.....why does rekha need a amitabh bachchan to stay in news or be the talk of the town...
dont like the way she would go on to term all most all actors as MY FAVOURITE or MY BABY or MY FUTURE STAR.....why should not she reserve her comments and maintain her mystique.....
she must maintain her dignity, her power and should be well aware of her position and not allow even a single person to mess with her or taken her for granted......she is someone who is not aware of her legacy and that is the reason she is one of the most loved celebs.....BUT...it want her to be one of the most loved and respected celebs as well and for this she should hold on to her own and maintain her integrity gracefully.......

Think for a while about these films Silsila, Ghar, Umrao Jaan, Basera and now think about thses Mother 98, Kudiyon ka hai Zamana, Bach ke rehna re Baba,Yatra. A big difference in these two categories. In short want to say that Rekha is missing in today's Rekha.

Nice post Arijit. I agree with you, she needs to get over her bachchan's obsession. Like in this FF when SRK called her on the stage, she asked for Abhishek B as her dance partner. They edited out this portion from TV broadcast but it was on the internet next day after the actual show was held. Really, i fail to understand what she was trying to do by calling Abhishek. And i don't think it would be a scripted moment.
Also , am i the one who finds it bit odd the way she danced on Ooh la la at screen awards? Basically , i don;t like those overtly sensual expressions. Had it been a movie then it is fine but on stage...No.Plus, at her age of nearing 60 , all this doesn't look good. And i feel because of all such small incidents, people think that she does all these antics to be in limelight.

Dear Arijit, First Thanks for your lovely question on the Discussion board of your own web site. I think the definition of “Perfection” may be differ from person to person but you well said that nobody is perfects but dear I interrupt because exception also there.
I always remember a thing that before an Actress she is a woman. First she is a perfect woman than a perfect actress but all people always talks about only the Actress not the person. In both terms she knows very well the meaning of perfection.
It’s always said that “Nobody is perfect” but she is REKHA- A line not only of Beauty but also a Line of Perfection. One important thing is that Nobody is perfect by birth, infact all the Perfect people make themselves perfect like Maa Saraswati- Lata Mangeshkar, same as Rekha is one of them who make herself so perfect but the journey of her Perfection was not easy, After crossing so many hurdles, ups- downs of life She is there as the Most Special and Most Perfect Actress of Indian Cinema. So dear Arijit I don’t think so there is lack of anything that make her more perfect. At the same time I feel she is Pure or you can say Pavitra more strongest term than Perfect.
You also asked one thing which people don’t like about Rekha, same as other people I have also so many Complaints from her kyonki Pyar karta hun naa isliye Thodi si Shikayat bhi hoti hai….. She is truly Indian by heart that’s why most of time she carry only Saree. But the thing is that there are very Rare Public occasion to see her but all the time She wears her Golden shade Saree, I am not against of her Golden Saree Collection but want to see my Rekha in some different outfits with different styles. Except it I am missing her Magic on Screen and want to see her in some Good movies with strong script, want to enjoy her Dance Numbers in Films. These are some little things which I want from her. Grace, Dignity and Beauty have never found one Common expression; she is what every man would want and what every woman would want to be that Rekha is for me.

कामरान जी रेखा हो जाने का मतलब उस "Image " से बिलकुल नहीं है वो जो स्क्रीन पर दिखाई देती है, एक जादुई व्यक्तिव, Perfect lip liner, खूबसूरत eyelashes, यहाँ तक की वो काला तिल जो उस Perfect Glamors Image का ज़रूरी हिस्सा हो जाता है! कुछ भी Missing नहीं , वो अचानक आती हैं और लोग उन्हें जी भर कर देख भी नहीं पाते ,और वो चली जाती हैं, गायब हो जाती हैं अपनी दुनिया में बिना कुछ कहे और बिना कुछ सुने.......!
यही "रेखा " है ना ??? आखिर ऐसा क्या है उस चेहरे में की इतने सारे खूबसूरत चेहरों के बीच सिर्फ एक वही चेहरा लोगों की उत्सुकता बनाये रखता है, किसी तिलिस्म सा ! अंत तक बांधे रखता है...............
BUT there is No end because She is Endless………………… एक अंतहीन रेखा समय के परे , यूँ तो बहुत सारे लोगों ने रेखा बनने की कोशिश की, उन्हें कॉपी किया , makeup Costumes , Glamor , अदा और ना जाने क्या क्या पर कोई रेखा फिर भी नहीं बन पाया , क्या इतना आसान है रेखा बनना ????
आज जहाँ रेखा खड़ी हैं खुद उनके लिए भी मुश्किल है रेखा बनना ! रेखा सिर्फ एक है दूसरी रेखा हो ही नहीं सकती , मेरे लिए रेखा होने से रेखा हो -जाने का कहीं ज्यादा अर्थ है रेखा होना यानी उस रेखा से जुड़ना वो जो नज़र नहीं आती ,उस रेखा को समझना , महसूस करना और जीना जो जिन्दगी की बूँद की तरह आपके अन्दर रहती है ! जो बिना makeup के आपको अजनबी नहीं लगती बल्कि अपनी लगती हैं, जिसकी आँखों में " सबकुछ "है , जिसकी मुस्कुराहटों के पीछे छिपा दर्द आपको अपने दिल में महसूस होता है , जो आपको कभी भी तन्हा नहीं छोडती और भीड़ में भी आपका हाथ थामे रखती हैं इस झूठी दुनिया में एक ऐसा चेहरा जो सच्चा लगता है, मेरे लिए सिर्फ और सिर्फ एक वहीँ हैं जो हर पल हर लम्हा मेरे साथ हैं , मेरे अन्दर है, Kamran ji as you asked that if you can be Rekha .. I think it doesn’t mean physical and you have to change your gender or otherwise…………… It’s a beautiful imagination ever. Once Rekha said there is a man in a every woman silently वो मेरा हिस्सा हैं या मैं उनका यह तय करना मुश्किल है, YESSSSSSS I am Rekha !!!! Also , am i the one who finds it bit odd the way she danced on Ooh la la at screen awards? Basically , i don;t like those overtly sensual expressions. Had it been a movie then it is fine but on stage...No.Plus, at her age of nearing 60 , all this doesn't look good. And i feel because of all such small incidents, people think that she does all these antics to be in limelight.

So dear Arijit I don’t think so there is lack of anything that make her more perfect. At the same time I feel she is Pure or you can say Pavitra more strongest term than Perfect.
You also asked one thing which people don’t like about Rekha, same as other people I have also so many Complaints from her kyonki Pyar karta hun naa isliye Thodi si Shikayat bhi hoti hai…..
She is truly Indian by heart that’s why most of time she carry only Saree. But the thing is that there are very Rare Public occasion to see her but all the time She wears her Golden shade Saree, I am not against of her Golden Saree Collection but want to see my Rekha in some different outfits with different styles. Except it I am missing her Magic on Screen and want to see her in some Good movies with strong script, want to enjoy her Dance Numbers in Films.

That is something which is missing in Rekha’s personality.Otherwise I found She is perfect, Ultimate, Complete as being Woman and being Human means “ Mukammal” Phir bhi if you asked about a thing that makes her more Perfect then again my answer is Rekha .
Only Rekha can make Rekha more perfect because only Rekha knows the real meaning of “How” How to act, How to talk, How to look Beautiful, how to mesmerised her fans, how to lights up the Screen and How to become more Perfect in Real Sense.
