हमारे शास्त्रों के अनुसार कमल के फूल को बहुत ही पावन माना गया है , इसी कारण से इसे माँ लक्ष्मी को अर्पित किया जाता है ठीक उसी तरह मैं भी इस पवित्र फूल को रेखा रुपी देवी को उनको जन्मदिन के तोहफे के रूप में देना चाहता हूँ
निसंदेह जन्मदिन का अर्थ खुशियों से है, शुभकामनाओ से है, और उत्सव से है और जब बात साल के सबसे ख़ास दिन 10 अक्टूबर की हो यह मेरे लिए महज उनका जन्मदिन ना होकर एक पर्व होता है जिसका इंतजार अपने आप में ना जाने कितने प्यार भरे लम्हों को अपने में समेटे रहता है... उन्हें उपहार देने की बात को सोचकर सबसे पहला ख्याल बस यही आता है की यूँ तो मेरी कोई हैसियत नहीं की मैं इतनी बड़ी शख्सियत को उपहार में कुछ दे सकूँ जिनके पास सबकुछ है , खुद को उन्हें सौप देने के सिवा कुछ नहीं है मेरे पास, अगर कुछ है भी तो वो मेरा नि:स्वार्थ प्रेम और मेरी पाक दुआएं जो हमेशा उनकी सलामती चाहती हैं , फिर भी अगर बात तोहफे की हो तो मैं दिल में बहुत से अरमान लिए जी रहा हूँ उन्हें देने के मेरे पास तोहफों की एक लम्बी लिस्ट है शुरू कहाँ से करूँ पता ही नहीं , एक बहुत खूबसूरत साड़ी , उनके खूबसूरत हाथों के लिए बहुत सी चूड़ियां और कंगन, , उनकी पसंद की सभी मिठाई , बहुत सारे मोगरे के फूल, , उनके आराध्य देव की मूर्ति , खुद से बनाया गया उनका बर्थडे कार्ड, और भी बहुत कुछ जो उन्हें बेहद ख़ुशी दे , ...... इन सब के बावजूद मेरा प्यार , मेरा दिल , और मैं खुद उन्हें समर्पित कर देना चाहता हूँ .......

1.आमतौर पर किसी भी फिल्म होने वाले स्टंट सीन के लिए कलाकारों के Duplicates का इस्तेमाल किया जाता है, मगर कुछ कलाकार ऐसे भी हैं जो अपने स्टंट सीन खुद ही करते हैं और रेखा भी उन गिने चुने कलाकारों में से ही हैं जो अपने स्टंट सीन खुद करती हैं, फिल्म फूल बने अंगारे की शूटिंग के दौरान फिल्म के स्टंट सीन के लिए रेखा की Duplicate को बुलाया गया मगर रेखा अपने स्टंट सीन बिना किसी की मदद से खुद करना चाहती थी और ऐसा ही हुआ , इस फिल्म में फिल्माए गए सभी खतरनाक स्टंट खुद रेखा द्वारा ही किये गए है, और रेखा की duplicate अपने हाथ पर हाथ धरे बैठी रही, फूल बने अंगारे के अलावा रेखा ने , खून भरी मांग, निशाना , औरत औरत औरत , गीतांजली और Madam X जैसी कई फिल्मों में अपने स्टंट सीन खुद किये हैं, एक महिला का इतना निडर होना वाकई चोंका देने वाली बात है!
2. 1980 में प्रदर्शित फिल्म :" खूबसूरत " में अपनी बेहतरीन अदाकारी के लिए रेखा ने अपना पहले फिल्म्फयेर पुरष्कार जीता, पर इस फिल्म से जुडी एक ख़ास बात यह भी है की इस फिल्म में रेखा द्वारा पहने गए सभी परिधान खुद रेखा द्वारा डिजाईन किये गए थे.
3. रेखा को संगीत से गहरा लगाव है , कई वर्षों पहले उन्होंने अपने लिए एक तानपुरा ख़रीदा था और बाकायदा संगीत सीखना शुरू किया था मगर उनके गुरूजी के देहांत के बाद वो संगीत से विमुख हो गयी और तब से आज तक उन्होंने उस तानपुरे को हाथ तक नहीं लगाया जिससे उन्हें अत्यंत लगाव था.
4. 40 शानदार साल और सिर्फ 4 फिल्म्फयेर अवार्ड्स ??? है ना कितनी हैरान कर देने वाली बात?? उन 4 फिल्म्फयेर पुरष्कार के अलावा अपने बेजोड़ अदाकारी के लिए रेखा 9 बार फिल्म्फयेर अवार्ड्स के लिए नामांकित हो चुकी हैं. ये फ़िल्में हैं " मुकुद्दर का सिकंदर ,घर, जुदाई, उमराव जान, जीवन धारा, मुझे इन्साफ चाहिए, फूल बने अंगारे, लज्जा और कोई मिल गया... तो फिर 13 बार अपनी दावेदारी करने वाली महान अभिनेत्री को एक अवार्ड इस बात लिए भी मिलना चाहिए.....

1.In the 1970’s Rekha said to actor Kamal Hasan that she would like to meet her Father Gemini Ganeshan and kamal Hasan brought Rekha to meet her father at his home in Chennai for the first time.
2.Rekha is her own Dress designer and used her own Jewelry for her Photo shoot and films; even she used her own wardrobe in these films like… Suhaag, Silsila, Qila, Aastha, Bulani and Yatra.
3.“Lakme” was the first established by Tata company on the request of Jawaharlal Nehru, who was concerned with Indian Woman spending foreign exchange on Beauty products, so it wasn’t surprising that Classy and Urbane Rekha became the face of the Company that Primarily catered to the elite Class of the Country.
4.In the 70’s when Mumbai crowed was in to EST Rajneesh, Rekha opted for yoga. What Jane Fonda did for Aerobics in America, Rekha did for Yoga in India, she is the first Bollywood star that started Yoga training center and launch a video called “Mind & Body Temple”
5.Rekha had given her very first interview to Simi Gerewal in her Show “A woman world”
